It's been awhile since I've posted here - well over a year. In that time, I've been through two other artists, both of whom have bailed, even having offered payment. And, sadly, it is with that note that I have had to conclude that perhaps I am not cut out for comic writing - perhaps the Gods are trying to tell me in the only manner they know how.
This does not, however, mean that I am giving up writing or that the characters created will never see the light of day. No, in fact, what I've begun doing (slowly, but doing nonetheless) is working to convert the scripts into novels, with the hope of self-publishing made more likely than if I tried to continue to get them done as individual comic series.
And, in addition to working on that, I've also spend the better part of this year devoting my time to my other blog, Kibbles 'n' Bitch. The time has been well-invested, as the blog has developed into something else, beginning to take on a life of its own. Not only is the blog about geeky reviews, but it also offers music/social commentary and, now, even interviews.
Once I get the stories to a point where it's close to sending them out for publishing, I will update here, as Studio Punk Pooch will continue, even if the published format has changed. In the meantime, though, I encourage all of you to check out Kibbles 'n' Bitch.
Thank you for your show of support and noted enthusiasm over all this time.

And, so it is that I am back to square one again with the comic projects. After all the responses I had on hand from my CraigsList posting, it now appears everyone wants to be paid -- even if they are unpublished and really have no prior comic experience.
See, here's the way I have presented it: It's a chance to "put yourself out there". There's no money upfront -- all I can offer is to pay for all necesary supplies, i.e inks, comic pages, etc. Once we complete the pages and submit them, thus finding ourselves a publisher, there will be payment -- but not before.
Unfortunately, I have wasted far too much time and energy these past few years trying to find someone to work with. Instead, I shall have to go with what I have, finish it, and submit it without an artist. Hopefully, I can find a publisher. Expect more updates as I go along..
